Introductory Chemistry
CHE 106 - 1074 CreditsProvides students with a basic knowledge of the main concepts of chemistry. This knowledge can be used in the continued study of chemistry and can be applied to other areas such as biology, engineering and physics.
In addition, the laboratory component (CHE 107) will teach students basic laboratory procedures and techniques. The course description contains further information regarding specific topics.
Introductory Chemistry
CHE 116 - 1174 CreditsIntroductory Chemistry 116 is a continuation course of CHE 106-107. Further study is made into the basic areas of chemistry. Topics explored include: thermochemistry, thermodynamics, and nuclear and organic chemistry.
The laboratory portion encompasses many chemical concepts relating to the work discussed in lectures.
Forensic Science
CHE 1134 CreditsDue to advances in forensic science and its credibility, more and more criminal cases are dependent on physical evidence. CHE 113 teaches techniques used by forensic scientists all over the country and provides students with the background of this fascinating field.
