Q. How do our students register for a Syracuse University course?
A. Instructions will be distributed in class by their instructor and will also be available on our website at http://supa.syr.edu. If a computer lab has been reserved, students can register at school; otherwise, they will need to complete the application at home. Wherever the students register, an application must be printed upon completion for a parent or guardian to sign. The application is not complete until signed by the parent/guardian and received by the Project Advance office for processing.
A. The registration timelines are on the Registrar’s Calendar located at http://supa.syr.edu. The instructor will let their students know when the signed application needs to be returned to them for mailing.
Q. Is there a financial obligation upon registering for a Syracuse University course?
A. Yes. Upon receiving a signed application form, SUPA generates an invoice, which is mailed to the student’s home address. In the fall semester, the first payment is due on October 15th or November 15th depending upon when Project Advance receives the signed application for processing. The first payment due date for the spring semester is March 15th.
Q. What questions do I need to ask a student who requests to drop a Syracuse University class?
Q. How do our students apply for Emergency Tuition Assistance (ETA)?
A. The parent/guardian needs to complete the form available on our website http://supa.syr.edu and submit it with all necessary documentation to the Project Advance office for processing. Eligible students are typically those who receive free or reduced lunches and whose parent/guardian has an adjusted gross income of under $30,000.
Q. How do students request a transcript for their SU course?
A. They can access our website http://supa.syr.edu and print out a Transcript Request form, sign it, and then mail or fax it to the registrar's office, where transcripts will be processed and mailed to whomever the student designated on the form. There is no charge for this service.
