Coplin, professor of public affairs and director of the Maxwell School's Public Affairs Program, has published more than 110 books and articles in the fields of international relations, public policy, political risk analysis, social science education, and doing good.
His recent publications include the books Ten Things Employers Want You to Learn in College and 25 Ways to Make College Pay Off: Advice for Anxious Parents from a Professor Who's Seen It all.
Coplin has received numerous awards for excellence in teaching, including a 1995 Chancellor's Citation for Distinguished Service to SU, appointment as a Meredith Professor for Teaching Excellence, and the 2000-01 Outstanding Faculty Advisor of the Year Award from SU's College of Arts and Sciences.

Gallagher has taught the Public Policy 101 course for over a decade.
He currently is an adjunct professor in the Department of History and Government at Nassau Community College, and in the Department of Education at Molloy College. He also is president of the Long Beach School Board.
A retired educator who taught social studies, computer science, and English at Seaford High School on Long Island for 30 years, Gallagher now does independent consulting. He has made numerous presentations at national and state educational conventions.
Among the honors he has received are being named the League of Women Voters Teacher of the Year, the Seaford School District’s nominee for New York State Teacher of the Year, and a nominee for Disney’s Teacher of the Year. He also received a special citation from Congressman Peter King for his “selfless efforts to educate our young people and preparing them to become productive members of society.”
