Dutkowsky’s primary teaching and research interests are in macroeconomics, and money and banking.

His research examines banking, monetary policy, the Federal Reserve, consumer behavior, and the determination of output and inflation.

Dutkowsky has published more than 40 works in scholarly journals, newspapers, textbook supplements, and grant reports. Prior to joining SU in 1985, he taught at Clarkson University.






Jerry Evensky

Evensky designed and developed the one-semester introductory economics course for Syracuse University.

As part of that project, he authored the text, Economics: The Ideas and the Issues, and the CD, Interactive Economics, for the course curriculum.

His research interests include Adam Smith’s moral philosophy, ethics and economics, institutions and economics, and economic education.

Before joining the SU faculty in 1985, Evensky taught secondary social studies in the Webster Groves (Missouri) School District, and economics at Hamilton College.
