Blumin, who has been an administrator at a wide range of grade levels, designed and developed a one-semester college learning strategies course that is context-specific to Syracuse University.
Blumin wrote the text, It\'s All About Choices; created all the course materials; and produced the DVD, an instructional supplement. Her research interests focus on undergraduate education and learning strategies.
Blumin began her teaching career in a Head Start program in East Harlem, N.Y., taught elementary and high school in East Syracuse-Minoa, N.Y., and was a grant administrator for T-S-T BOCES in Ithaca, N.Y. Prior to joining SU in 1988, she taught and held administrative positions at Tompkins-Cortland Community College in Dryden, N.Y.
