Uday Banerjee

Professor, Mathematics
Ph.D., Applied Mathematics,
University of Maryland
Email: banerjee@syr.edu

Banerjee's area of specialization is numerical analysis. His research interests include the analysis of numerical methods to approximate solutions, eigenvalues, and eigenvectors of elliptic PDEs. He currently is studying the effects of numerical integration on approximate eigenvalues obtained from various versions of the finite element method.

Dan Zacharia

Professor, Mathematics
Ph.D., Mathematics
Brandeis University
Email: zacharia@syr.edu

Zacharia serves as liaison for the pilot offering of MAT 397. His research involves representations of algebras, noncommulative algebra, and homological algebra.
